(Hong Kong, 26 September 2018) IKEA urges all customers that purchased CALYPSO ceiling lamps after 1st of August 2016 to double check the date stamp on the product. IKEA is recalling CALYPSO ceiling lamps manufactured between and including these date stamps: (yyww) 1625 to 1744.
IKEA has received customer reports of glass shades falling and to minimise the risk to our customers, IKEA is recalling CALYPSO ceiling lamps manufactured between and including these date stamps: (yyww) 1625 to 1744.
IKEA urges all customers that own a CALYPSO ceiling lamp produced within the affected date stamps to return the product to be replaced with a new CALYPSO or a full refund. IKEA does not require any proof of purchase.
IKEA takes product safety very seriously. All our products are tested and comply with applicable standards and legislation. In spite of this we have received reports that CALYPSO glass shades have fallen. In order to safeguard customers and avoid further incidents, we are recalling the products for a full refund or replacement product.

1. Carefully pull out the movable arm.
2. Remove the lamp shade while you continue to hold the movable arm pulled out.

Customers who purchased the affected batch (1625 to 1744) of CALYPSO ceiling lamp (HK$299.9), please call Customer Support Centre hotline at 3125 0888 (Hong Kong) / 0800 347 (Macau), and email the photos of the lamp, contact number and home address to enquiry@ikea.com.hk. The lamp can be returned to any IKEA store or Merchandise Pickup Point for a full refund or replacement product. Proof of purchase (receipt) is not required.
