How to build
- First think carefully about what you want to store and how much there is of the different categories: books, CDs, photo albums etc.
- Then combine low and tall, narrow and wide bookcases to solve your storage needs. For heavy books we recommend shelves no more than 40cm wide. To store even more books on the same floor space, add height extension units for storage right up to the ceiling. (To be combined with BILLY bookcase 202cm for added storage vertically. Min. ceiling height 240cm.)
- You can add the finishing touches to 40cm and 80cm bookcases with glass or wood panel doors.
Secure it! Safer home together : We recommend you to fix the furniture to the wall with the enclosed safety bracket to prevent it from tipping over if a child climbs or hangs on it.

Low formaldehyde content
The formaldehyde content is lower than EU highest standard E1. The back and bottom of the shelf were strengthened and treated with edge sealing to decrease the risk of damp, makes it safer and more durable.
Easily adjustable shelves
Need more space in between shelves to fit tall vases (or giraffe figures)? No problem. With BILLY bookcases, you can easily adjust the space between shelves. Make room for large boxes, or make tiny spaces to highlight small items and collectables.
